چکیده
Abstract Background The discovery of the superbug mcr-1 -positive Escherichia coli (MCRPEC) has drew greet attention. Swine-origin multi-drug resistant MCRPEC been a potential threat to public health and safety. However, there were few detailed studies have reported on swine in Guangxi, South China. Results In this study, thirty-three strains detected from 142 E. 116 samples Guangxi 2018. Which could be classified into eight unique STs total six incompatibility plasmid groups (IncFI, IncHI1, IncY, IncN, IncI1 IncX1). After that, susceptibility isolates 27 antimicrobial agents belonging 17 categories was tested. There nineteen 3rd 4th generation cephalosporins twelve carbapenem resistan. Importantly, showed high resistance highly for imipenem meropenem, which forbidden use livestock production. Three further proved extensively drug-resistant (XDR), other multi-drug-resistant (MDR). Furthermore, we found that plasmid-carrying genes coexisted with gene isolates. listed as follows: ?-lactamase e.g. ESBL ( bla CTX-M14 , CTX-M24 CTX-M123 OXA-1 ), plasmid-mediated AmpC (pAmpC) CMY-2 NDM-5 non-?-lactamase qnrA qnrB qnrS aac (6?)-Ib-cr tetA tetB sul1 sul2 floR aadA ). Conclusion Thirty-three displayed wide profile resistance. Plasmid-carrying might main cause multidrug This study highlighted necessity long-term surveillance pigs.

Emergence of plasmid-mediated colistin resistance (MCR-1) among Escherichia coli isolated from South African patients.
The polymyxin antibiotic colistin is an antibiotic of last resort for the treatment of extensively drug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, including carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae. The State of the World's Antibiotics report in 2015 highlighted South Africa (SA)'s increasing incidence of these 'superbugs' (3.2% of Klebsiella pneumoniae reported from SA were carbapenemase producers), ...
متن کاملAcquired Antimicrobial Resistance Genes of Escherichia coli Obtained from Nigeria: In silico Genome Analysis
Background: Antimicrobial resistance is a global problem with enormous public health and economic impact. This study was carried out to get an overview of acquired antimicrobial resistance gene sequences in the genomes of Escherichia coli isolated from different food sources and the environment in Nigeria. Methods: To determine the acquired antimicrobial-resistant genes prevalence, genome asse...
متن کاملA Phage-Like IncY Plasmid Carrying the mcr-1 Gene in Escherichia coli from a Pig Farm in China.
We report here a new type of plasmid that carries the mcr-1 gene, the pMCR-1-P3 plasmid, harbored in an Escherichia coli strain isolated from a pig farm in China. pMCR-1-P3 belongs to the IncY incompatibility group and is a phage-like plasmid that contains a large portion of phage-related sequences. The backbone of this plasmid is different from that of other mcr-1-carrying plasmids reported pr...
متن کاملClass 1 and 2 integrons, sul resistance genes and antibiotic resistance in Escherichia coli isolated from Dongjiang River, South China.
Antibiotic susceptibility, detection of sul gene types and presence of class 1, 2 and 3 integrons and gene cassettes using PCR assays were investigated in 3456 Escherichia coli isolates obtained from 38 sampling sites of the Dongjiang River catchment in the dry and wet seasons. 89.1% of the isolates were resistant and 87.5% showed resistance to at least three antibiotics. sul2 was detected most...
متن کاملAntimicrobial resistance in swine production.
Large amounts of antimicrobial agents are still being used in modern swine production in many countries around the world. This facilitates the emergence and development of antimicrobial resistance. Bacteria causing infections in swine have in several cases acquired resistance to a number of the agents most commonly used for treatment, making it difficult to predict the efficacy of different ant...
